The Law School’s Dispute Resolution Institute at North Carolina Central University aims to advance the theory and practice of dispute resolution in the pursuit of justice and reconciliation.
While the Institute is continually evolving, it sought to establish an aesthetic unique enough to distinguish itself among other colleges, while still honoring the Law School’s identity. As a school that prides itself on its diverse student population, reflecting this in the print collateral was also a major focus.
Our team created a series of brochures with custom photographs that captured professors and students interacting in live classroom settings. Strong grid-based layouts, accentuated with pronounced lines and blocks of color, speak to the structured nature of law. To add visual interest, we used yellows and blues alongside the university’s traditional maroon and grey color scheme. The final pieces represented the variety among the Institute’s professional training and course offerings.
